This paper builds on the big areas covered in the Future Fund International Peers Benchmarking Study and written up in the publication Smart Leadership, Sound Followership. It explores how being an asset owner today can be mind-bogglingly complex and shows that life for asset owners in the next 5-10 years will not get any easier. It also outlines practical steps which asset owners should make, to take control of many of their risks, exploit the opportunities out there and navigate the “Great Acceleration”.
